AAMAAL OF SHAB-E-QADR

`    The night of grandeur and power (19th, 21st and 23rd )

No night throughout the year , is on a level with this night. On account of its merits , surpassing excellence, superiority, and the super abundant bounties, benefits and favors this night brings for the mankind it leaves behind every night known for blessings. As revealed in the Holy Quran the night of "qadr" is better than a thousand months. therefore Aamaal done in these nights are better than the aamaal done in one thousand months.

In this night the "spirit" (Rooh) together with one thousand Angels descend and that which decided is shown to the "Living Imam".

It must be kept in mind that the days are as auspicious as the nights, so recite the holy Quran and Duas  of Imam Ali Ibn Abi Talib (AS) and Imam Ali Ibn Hussain Al Zainul Aabideen (AS) during day time on 19^th, 21^st and 23^rd.    

Common Aamaal On The "LAYLATUL QADR"

As either the 19^th , or the 21^st  or the 23^rd. night of this month is the "Laylatul Qadr", there are Aamaal which should be done during all the said nights:

1) Have a bath just before sunset.

2) Recite 2 Rakaat Namaaz as under:

(i) In every Rakaat after Al Hamd recite al Iklaas 7 times

(ii) After the Salaam say 70 times

ASTAGHFIRULLAH  WA  ATOOBU  ILAYHEE

3)Open the Holy Quran place it before you and say:

ALLAAHUMMA  INNEE  AS - ALUKA  BIKITAABIKAL  MUNZALI  WA  MAA  FEEHI  WA  FEEHIS - MUKAL  AKBAR  WA-AS - MAAA - UKAL  H'USNAA  WA  MAA  YUKHAAFU  WA  YURJAA  AN  TAJ - A'LANEE  MIN  U'TAQAAA - IKA  MINAN  NAAR

(Then invoke Allah  to fulfill your legitimate desires )

4)Keep the Holy Quran on your head and say :

ALLAAHUMMA  BI - H'AQQI  HAAD'AL  QUR - AAN  WA  BI - H'AQQI  MAN  ARSALTAHU  BIHI  WA  BI - H'AQQI  KULLI  MOO - MININ  MADAH'TAHU  FEEHI  WA  BI - H'AQQIKA  A'LAYHIM  FA - LAA  AH'ADA  AA' - RAFU  BI - H'AQQIKA  MINKA

Then recite the following 10 times each:

( Then  invoke Allah to fulfill your legitimate desires )

5) Recite Ziarath of Imam Hussain (AS) (it is highly desirable to go to "Karbala Mu-a'llaa" for performing the Ziarath of the Holy Imam. )

6) It is highly desirable to keep awake and pray dua'as and Namaz in the "Night of qadr". (Allaama majlisi (RA) says that every faithful must beseech Allah, in these nights, for mercy and forgiveness for oneself, parents, relatives, living and dead brothers-in-faith,

7) Recite "Joshan Kabeer"

8) Pray hundred Rakaat Namaz and in every Rakaat, after Al Hamd recite Al Iklaas 10 times.

9) Once someone asked the Holy Prophet (SA) what to ask for, from Allah in the "Night of Qadr" if he got a chance. The Prophet (SA) advised him to beseech Allah for His deliverance (on the Day of Judgment ) .

19th Night

Tonight is the first night of the "Laylatul Qadr" . The other two are 21st and 22nd.

1) Do the "COMMON AAMAAL" mentioned above.

2) Recite 100 times:

ASTAGFIRULLAAHA  WA  ATOOBU  ILAYHI

3) Recite 100 times

ALLAAHHUMMAL-A'N  QATALATA  AMEERIL  MOOMINEEN

4)  Recite dua "YAA  D'ALLAD'EE  KAANA  QABLA  KULLISHAY - IN  THUMMA  KHALAQA  KULLA  SHAY - IN  THUMMA  YABQAA  WA  YAFNAA  KULLU  SHAY - IN  YAA  D'AL LAD'EE  LAYSA  KAMITHLIHEE  SHAY - UN  WA  YAA D'AL  LAD'EE  LAYSA  FIS  SAMAAWAATIL  U'LAA  WA  LAA  FIL  AR''EENAS  SUFLAA  WA  LAA  FAWQAHUNNA  WA  LAA  TAH'TAHUNNA  WA  LAA  BAYNAHUNNA  ILAAHUN  YUA'- BADU  GHAYRUHU  LAKAL  H'AMDU  H'AMDAN  LAA  YAQWAA  A'LAA  MUH'AMMADIN'W  WA  AALI  MUH'AMMAD  S'ALAATAN  LAA  YAQWAA  A'LAA  IH'S'AAA - IHAA  ILLAA  ANTA

5)  Recite the following dua'a:

ALLAAHUMMAJ - A'L  FEEMA  TAQZ''EE  WA  TUQADDIRU  MINAL  AMRIL  MAH'TOOM  WA  FEEMA  TAFRUQU  MINAL  AMRIL  H'AKEEM  FEE  LAYLATIL  QADR  WA  FIL  QAZ''AAA - IL  LAD'EE  LAA  YURADDU  WA  LAA  YUBADDALU  AN  TAKTUBANEE  MIN  H'UJJAAJI  BAYTIKAL  H'ARAAMIL  MABROOR  H'AJJUHUMUL  MASHKOOR  SAA' - YUHUMUL  MAGHFOOR  D'UNOOBUHUMUL  MUKAFFARI  A'NHUM  SAYYI - AATUHUM    WAJ - A'L  FEEMAA  TAQZ''EE  WA  TUQADDIRU  AN  TUT'EELA  U'MREE  WA  TUWASSI - A  A'LAYYA  FEE  RIZQEE  WA  TAF - A'LA

After the dua'a  mention your legitimate desires.

6) Pray 50 Rakaat namaaz and in every Rakaat after Al Hamd recite Al Zilzaal

21st NIGHT

Tonight is the second night of the "Laylatul Qadr",

1) Do the common Aamaal of the "Laylatul Qadr".

2)Shaykh Sudooq (RA) saya that those who read, discuss and make known the essentials aspects of the "Deen of Allah" during this night, utilize it in the best of manner. 

3) Pray 8 Rakaat Namaaz and in every Rakaat after Al Hamd recite any other Surah

4) It is reported that Imam Jafar As Sadiq (As) used to pray "Tahajjud" tonight till Fajr Namaaz

5) Recite  "Durood" as many times as possible ; and for the purpose of Aa - maal and prayers this night is fulfilling as the night of A'ashoora.

6) It is highly recommended to have a bath every night from 21st to the last date of Ramadan.

NIGHT  AAMAAL  OF  23rd:

23rd  is the third day of "Laylatul Qadr", rated above the 19th and 21st. In fact in view of greater number of traditions this night is the genuine "Laylatul Qadr".

1) Do the common Aamaal of  "Laylatul Qadr".

2)Shaykh Sudooq (RA) saya that those who read, discuss and make known the essentials aspects of the "Deen of Allah" during this night, utilize it in the best of manner.

3)Recite the following Surahs

i) ANKABOOT------- once

ii) DUKHAAN --------- once

iii) ROOM ---------------once

iv) QADR---------------- 1000 times.

4) Recite the `following dua'a

YAA  RABBA  LAYLATIL QADR  WA  JAA - I'LAHAA  KHAYRAN  MIN  ALFI  SHAHR  WA  RABBA  LAYLI  WAN  NAHAAR  WAL  JIBAALI  WAL BIH'AAR  WAZ' Z'ULAMI  WAL  ANWAAR  WAL  ARZ''I  WAS  SAMAAA

YAA  BAARI - U ,  YAA  MUS'AWWIR , YAA  H'ANNAANU ,  YAA  MANNAAN , YAA  ALLAAHU ,  YAA RAH'MAAN , YAA ALLAAHU ,  QAYYOOM , YAA  ALLAAHU , YAA BADEE - U' ,  YAA  ALLAAH ,  YAA  ALLAAH,  YAA  ALLAAH

LAKAL  ASMAAA - UL  H'USNAA  WAL  AMTHAALUL  U'LYAA  WAL  KIBRIYAAA  WAL  AALAAA - U AS - ALUKA  AN  TUS'ALLIYA  A'LAA  MUH'AMMAD  WA  AN  TAJ - A'LAS - MEE  FEE  HAAD'IHIL  LAYLATI  FIS  SU - A'DAAA - I  WA  ROOH'EE  MA - A'SH  SHUHADAAA - I  WA  IH'SAANEE  FEE  I'LLIYYEENA  WA  ISAAA - ATEE  MAGHFOORAH  WA  AN  TAHABA  LEE  YAQEENAN  TUBAASHIRU  BIHEE  QALBEE  WA  EEMAANAN  YUD'HIBUSH  SHAKKA  A'NNEE  WA  TURZ''IYANEE  BIMAA  QASAMTA  LEE  WA  AATINAA  FID  DUNYAA  H'ASANATAN  WA  FIL  AAKHIRATI  H'ASANATAN  WA  QINAA  A'D'AABAN  NAARIL  H'AREEQ  WAR - ZUQNEE  FEEHAA  D'IKRAKA  WA  SHUKRAKA  WAR  RAGHBATA  ILAYKA  WAL  INAABATA  WAT  TAWBAH  WAT  TAWFEEQA  LIMAA  WAFFAQTA  LAHOO  MUH'AMMADAN  WA  AALI  MUH'AMMADIN  A'LAYHI  WA  A'LAYHIMUS  SALAAM

( then  say ):

ALLAAHUMMA  KUN  LI - WALIYYIKA  AL - H'UJJATIBNIL  H'ASAN  S'ALAWAATUKA  A'LAYHI  WA  A'LAA  AABAAA - IHEE  FEE  HAAD'IHIS  SAA - ATI  WA  FEE  KULLI  SAA - A'TIN  WALIYYAN  WA  H'AAFIZ''AN  WA  QAAA - IDAN  WA  NAAS'IRAN  WA  D'ALEELAN  WA  A'YNAA  H'ATTAA  TUSKINAHU  ARZ''AKA  TAW - AN  WA  TUMATTI - A'HU  FEEHAA  T'AWEELA

(Then say raising your hands towards the sky):

YAA  MUDABBIRAL  UMOOR  YAA  BAA - ITHA  MAN  FIL  QUBOOR  YAA  MUJRIYAL  BUH'OOR  YAA  MULAYYINAL  H'ADEEDI  LI - DAWOOD  S'ALLI  A'LAA  MUH'AMMADIN  WA  AALI  MUH'AMMAD  WAF - AL  BEE (mention your legitimate desires ).

5) Recite the following dua'a :

ALLAAHUMMAM - DUD  LEE  FEE  U'MREE  WA  wa  awsia'- lee  fee  rizqee  wa  as'ih'h'a  lee  jismee  wa  balighnee  amalee  wa  in  kuntu  minal  ashqiyaaa - i  fam - h'unee  minalashqiyaaa  wak - tubnee  minas  su - a'daaa

fa - innaka  qulta  fee  kitaabikal  munzali  a'laa  nabiyyakal  mursal  s'alawaatuka  a'laiyi  wa  aalihee  yamh'ullaahu  maa  yashaaa - u  wa  yuthbitu  wa  i'ndahoo  ummul  kitaab

6) Recite  the  following  dua'a

ALLAAHUMMAJ - A'L  FEEMA  TAQZ''EE  WA  FEEMAA  TUQADDIRU  MINAL  AMRIL  MAH'TOOM  WA  FEEMAA  TAFRUQU  MINAL  AMRIL  H'AKEEM  FEE  LAYLATIL  QADR  MINAL  QAZ''AAA - IL  LAD'EE  LAA  YURADDU  WA  LAA  YUBADDALU  AN  TAKTUBANEE  MIN  H'UJJAAJI  BAYTIKAL  H'ARAAM  FEE  A'AMEE  HAAD'AL  MABROOR  H'UJJUHUMUL  MASHKOOR  SAA'- YUHUMUL  MAGHFOOR  D'UNOOBUHUMAL  MUKAFFARI  A'NHUM  SAYYI - AATUHUM  WAJ - A'L  FEEMA  TAQZ"EE  WA  TUQADDIRU  AN  TUT'EELA  U'MREE  WA  TUWASSI - A'  LEE  FEE  RIZQEE

7) Recite the following dua'a:

YAA  BAAT'INAN  FEE  Z'UHOORIHI  WA  YAA  Z'AAHIRAN  FEE  BUT'OONIHI

WA  YAA  BAAT'INAN  LAYSA  YAKHFAA  WA  YAA  Z'AAHIRAN  LAYSA  YURAA  YAA  MAWS'OOFAN  LAA  YABLUGHU  BI - KAYNOONATIHI  MAWS'OOFUN  WA  LAA  H'ADDUN  MAH'DOOD  WA  YAA  GHAAA - IBAN  GHAYRA  MAFQOOD  WA  YAA  SHAAHIDAN  GHAYRA  MASH - HOOD  YUT'LABU  FA - YUS'AABU

WA  LAM  YAKHLU  MINHUS  SAMAAWAATU  WAL  ARZ''  WA  MAA BAYNAHUMAA  T'ARFATA  A'YN

LAA  YUDRAKU  BI - KAYFIN  WA  LAA  YOO - AYYANU  BI - AYN  WA  LAA  BI - H'AYTHU  ANTA  NOORUN  NOOR  WA  RABBUL  ARBAAB  AH'AT'TA  BI - JAMEE - I'L  UMOOR  SUBH'AANA  MAN  LAYSA  KAMITHLIHI  SHAY - UN  WA  HUWAS  SAMEE - U'L  BAS'EER   SUBH'AANA  MAN  HUWA  HAAKAD'AA  WA  LAA  HAAKAD'AA   GHAYRUHU

8) Have bath in the early as well as in the later part of this night.

9) Pray the 100 Rakaat Namaaz (as mentioned previously ) 

10) Pray 8 Rakaat Namaaz and in every Rakaat after Al Hamd recite any other Surah.

11) Recite the following dua'as:

i) Dua'a Mukaaram ul akhlaaq

ii) Dua'a Tawbah

iii) Other duas of Imam Ali (AS) and Imam Ali Ibn Hussain (AS) can also be recited
